He's paying his programmer $17 per hour, part time, but wouldn't he be setting up site and making gazillions of dollars too. And if he is, why is he working for $17 an hour.

Need to research further and see how well these search result pages rank in google, and how much traffic they really generate.

Susceptibility. Google's algorithm could deindex this type of autogeneration at any moment. All eggs in one basket syndrome.
5.
Could be considered spamdexing by google, and be banned.
