Introduction
NOTE: Don’t skip anything I drop pure gold nuggets everywhere, so take notes…yes even in this intro…
In just over a year online I’ve already sold over $1,000,000 in software and info products, either as an affiliate or selling my own products. I don’t say this to brag, just to let you know what’s possible for anyone.
In this internet marketing niche I am usually a top 5 affiliate for products that I decide to promote with devotion. I’ve come from nowhere built a solid brand around my name from scratch, and become a trusted expert in my field. And I’m not afraid to show you how to do exactly the same. This methodology works in every possible niche.
I’ve been known to be raw and maybe expose some truths I’m not supposed to touch on, but that’s who I am. I’m true to myself, like it or leave it, but I get a good night’s sleep by being this way.
While this ebook covers what some tire kickers may “think” is not a big secret at all, this is actually one of the most simple but powerful ways to make money online and better yet actually build a thriving business rather than a second rate hobby. So whether it’s a secret or not, you better know about it.
What I’ve learned is that sometimes because an idea or method seems so simplistic people sometimes discount the idea from being very powerful. Don’t over complicate things, and you will find that most of the time “the power is in the simplicity of the model.”
After this chapter, I’ll be giving you as much content as possible, with no filler. I like getting to the point and cutting the fluff, as you already know if you are one of my loyal customers. • So first, let me break down what the “The Last Affiliate Secret” is all about and why and how it works so well. It’s a very proven method and anyone can use it to go from newbie to super affiliate status within a year maybe faster depending on the time you put in.
I’ve really lived the 2 hour workday lifestyle people sometimes brag about, even though they are really working 14 hours a day. Nope not me…If you do it right it’s very possible to make a great living online and still have most of your time to do with it as you choose.
While I started doing some small affiliate marketing, I realized real quick that there was a much faster way.
What’s my secret?
I changed my game. Well, actually that’s not true, either. I played both sides of the affiliate marketing game – pushing other people’s products, while becoming a product owner myself.
Too much work?
Think again.
It’s just as easy or even easier publishing then working as an affiliate, driving traffic for other people. Use that knowledge to publish your own products that in turn will build your buyers list on autopilot. As a result you then you have a targeted audience to promote other quality products in the same niche. Make sense?
Product owners who started out as affiliates already have the backbone, the foundation, for making sales. What you’re going to learn is how I took my Super affiliate status and used it like an oversized hammer to crush my competition.
I cornered entire niche markets because other marketers were being wallflowers and I would swoop in and dominate any niche I tapped. I’m still an affiliate for other people, only now I have my own targeted lists, so when I find a product I want to promote, I blast out a short email and its profit on demand.
The only work I do is basically finding different niches and exploiting the hell out of them! I like how being a publisher gives me control. I say what goes in, how it’s compiled, what the sales copy says – and I don’t give a crap who doesn’t like it, as long as my target audience is buying.
You see, by publishing you are using one of the most powerful forces of building wealth fast, Leverage. You make money off of product sales that your affiliates are doing the most of the hard work for. There happy if your product sells and you give them great commissions.
And you’re happy as well because you’re getting paid to build your list of buyers who you can count on for atleast a dollar a month per buyer. I say buyer because buyers and subscribers are completely different. Buyers are more likely to buy again.
In the scheme of things I would take a 1000 person buyers list any day to a list of 10,000 subscribers. That’s how powerful the difference really is.
So let’s go over this again, there’s two ways of reaching affiliate status. One the slow way, is to research and find profitable products to promote as an affiliate, spend time and money getting traffic through your link and making the numbers add up.
Now this is great, I do some affiliate marketing with Pay-Per-Click but if I find profit centers that I can have a product created for myself, I don’t hesitate to outsource the job and start competing in that niche with a product of my own. See you can become a super affiliate by having usually hundreds of campaigns promoting hundreds of products and eventually master this and sit back and watch the money roll in.
But this usually takes a lot of time and testing to get to the level I’m talking about or you can take the fast way, the method I’m exploiting now. Publish first, using others creditability, brand yourself as an expert and build a buyers list which you can then promote like products from within the same niche.
This is by far the fastest way you can make a lot of money online as an affiliate.
Publishing (product creation) = list which then = affiliate commissions.
2. Go Big or Go Home
Failure Is Not an Option
Ask yourself right now – would you be content to make 1-2 sales a day? How about 10? If you answered yes, then you’re not cut out for the rockstar lifestyle. As an affiliate, you might smile at the thought of earning $40-50 a day every month in passive income, but as a rockstar, it wouldn’t be enough.
It’s okay to go for the brass ring in Internet marketing. In this case, that means using affiliate marketing as your stepping stone for success. No matter how rich you are pushing someone else’s products; you could be that much richer having hundreds of affiliates push your product.
Plus, as a product owner, you have the ultimate affiliate power. You’re already the authority figure, and then when you send out an email to your list detailing the benefits of a product you want to promote that belongs to someone else, your seal of approval pulls in many more sales than a mere traffic-pusher can get.
Don’t Let Saturation Scare You
Many affiliates follow that path because the thought of product creation scares the hell out of them. They don’t know how to do half the stuff it takes to find a niche, create a product, and then launch the whole thing.
So instead, they take the easy way out – never stepping foot in the product creation arena because as an affiliate, all they have to do is plug in an ID code and they’re all set!
Laziness was my Achilles heel when I first started out. Turning money as an affiliate was so damn easy; it almost kept me from making the leap to product owner. But I’m not the type of person to sit back and let someone else take the spotlight – I don’t like living in the shadows.
Listen, any niche you want can be yours. I don’t care if the top Internet marketing gods are in it – you can squeeze them out and take your share of the profit pie. But you can’t do it if you’re too afraid of pissing someone off or worrying that there’s not enough to go around.
That’s scarcity thinking, and it’ll keep you poor if you let it!
You’re already pushing products as an affiliate – and if you’re pedaling the top marketer’s products, then you ARE competing with the top guns – you’re just splitting the share of the sale with them.
Affiliate Marketing Versus Product Owner
You may think you have it easy as an affiliate, but if you’re a Super affiliate, the comparison may not be so different. Let’s take a look at what it takes to make money as an affiliate versus what you’re going to learn to do as a product owner:
Has to spend bulk of time generating traffic to the site, one of the hardest tasks of all in Internet marketing Main responsibility is to create a good product that will sell well and have limited refunds
Has to build a list to market to, if he Builds a list of customers and
really wants to have “Super” status prospects that he can market his own and other people’s products to, doubling profitability
Has to create accompanying free Creates one product, one set of
reports on a regular basis to entice bonuses – and lets affiliates add
people to use his link instead of more bonuses on their own time and
someone else’s (or their own) dime
Has to pay for search engine traffic Creates one set of articles and
and create dozens of articles for autoresponders for affiliates to use to
directories to make affiliate send out and generate traffic; also
marketing profitable claims status of getting organic search engine traffic through the URL
Has to rely on product owner to receive payments Gets paid first – then, depending on affiliate program management, shares the sale with affiliates – plus enjoys the organic sales revenue to keep 100% of the profits
3. Hardcore Groupies
When you’re a leader in the industry, you don’t have time to weed through the tire kickers and see who’s serious and who’s not. I don’t want to have to coddle and convince a visitor to my sites that my products are worth it.
Instead, I want the pre-sold audience reading my sales letter. I don’t mean I want affiliates doing the selling part of the process, although if they’re effective, that’s fine by me.
What I’m talking about are groupies to the topic I’m covering. My niche can be very broad, but the people I attract need to be narrowed down the buyers only, not the freebie seekers.
I’m going to show you how to slam the door on useless traffic and open the floodgates for targeted, pre-screened traffic that practically have their wallet in hand, ready to hit the Buy button.
You’re already working as an affiliate – so I’m going to sweeten the pot and show you how to implement this tactic even before you switch over to product owner. Even while you’re shoveling traffic to someone else’s site, you can hoard those names for yourself for future use when you are ready to blast a solo email and scoop up 100% of the profits.
The #1 Mistake Affiliates Are Making
What sets an affiliate apart from a super affiliate? It’s his (or her) ability to build a list. Even as an affiliate, you must use autoresponder tools to build your customer base up so that you can market to them repeatedly.
What’s the use of working to grab traffic, when you only have 1 shot at marketing to them? Most un-savvy marketers just hand off the goods to the product owner, without keeping the names for their own use.
What a cardinal sin!
Never let a single name pass through your fingers. It’s like paying he product owner ten times more – so you’re losing money. Why? Because he’s going to turn that 1-time buyer into a lifetime customer who buys 10 more backend products from him.
You? Well, you’ll only have a $25 commission or so if you’re lucky. Missing out on an extra $250 in commission is like paying that much. Lost money is paid money in my opinion.
Now before you rush into product creation, while you’re still formulating your plan for dominating the marketplace, you want to go ahead and set up an opt-in subscriber box, otherwise known as a squeeze page.
This will let you capture the names and emails of everyone who passes through your traffic funnel before the product owner gets their hands on them. I’m going to show you what tools to use and how to get it all set up so that you start building a profit-pulling list immediately.
Choosing a System to Simplify the Process
I’m going to tell what the most autoresponder system is, and then you can go out and make your own decisions if you find something better. It’s Aweber. Aside from being cheap at only $19.95/month, it works like a charm and you can build unlimited numbers of lists (this comes in handy when you start reading the next section).
Aweber is one of the easiest systems to use, too. When you have multiple lists, you can even blast out a single email that winds up going to all of the lists, so if you want to separate them by promotion (like a free tips list versus a viral report list), you can.
When you log into Aweber, you’ll see your dashboard. You want to click on the [Add New] link next to the Managing List link at the top left side of your screen. Then you’ll either get to create a new list or deactivate an old one you no longer use. Click on the green Create List button.
You’ll then be taken to the above scree
