The presence of two legends, Yan Sen and Zhang Yining, along with European Table Tennis Union (ETTU) leadership, turns this event into an important signal about the depth of institutional cooperation between the world's two largest table tennis powerhouses. The event was held at the Royal Alpa Table Tennis Club, under the auspices of the Mission of China to the European Union. There were 24 participants, evenly divided: 12 representing the Chinese Mission to the EU, the Chinese Embassy in Belgium, and other Chinese institutions based in Brussels, alongside 12 European table tennis enthusiasts from Euroclub representing EU institutions. What is particularly notable from a structural perspective is the presence of ETTU Vice President Didier Leroy and Secretary General Pierre Kass.
